Question
I need to replace a rusted front bumper bar on a 2003 GMC Sierra 1500. I was told remove the grill first and then its easy. How to do that without breaking something else. Can this be done without special tools?

Answer
DOUG..... I CAN'T ANSWER THAT ONE FOR SURE BUT THE BEST WAY IS TO REMOVE THE BUMPER FROM THE MOUNTS UNDER THE TRUCK. THAT WAY THE ENTIRE BUMPER ASSEMBLY IS ABLE TO BE REMOVED.THE GRILLE CLIPS ON NEAR THE HEADLAMPS.....PLASTIC IS DIFFICULT TO DEAL WITH BECAUSE JUST A LITTLE TO MUCH MUSCLE WILL END UP COSTING MORE MONEY.

THE SURE WAY TO FIND OUT IS TO STOP BY A BODY SHOP IN YOUR AREA AND ASK THE MANAGER.
HE CAN WRITE AN ESTIMATE AND HIS COMPUTER ESTIMATING SYSTEM WILL TELL HIM WHAT NEEDS TO BE REMOVED.

THANKS
MIKE
