Question

Bubble Paint
I has some white gunk blow out of my Campbell Hausfeld gun in the middle of soing my clear coat.  Followed you instructions above, but a couple of areas on the base coat i reapplied rejected the paint and bubbled up (crackeled). What might have caused this.  I can resand but want to know what might have caused this?  And how to solve this so this does not repeat?

Answer
Hello Bob

Your spray gun or your lines are picking up something which can only be a contaminate, so clean that first and try test sprays before putting product on your project.

You can not apply base over top of clear. The result will be exactly what you discovered, the surface will crack and wrinkle and other ugly things. Now, You should wait a couple of days, then re-sand the problem spots, seal the entire project with something like 'basefix' and (sorry to say), give it another go. Clean your lines and gun real good first.

Thank you for the question, hope it helps.
