Question
Hello dan

I hope you can help me, or send me in the right direction, I just bought a 2005 9c1 police package impala/ my problem is I bought a spoiler unpainted, and want to match it to my white car, the original color is wa8554 white but they definitely repainted it for a fleet, white, very glossy, in some literature i found online is it possible there is a spray paint out there that matches RPO (40u) white, if so where.         thanks jazz

Answer
Hello Jazz

A couple of things:
                1)  wa8554 has 6 variations / shades

                2)  A standard variation is used 84% of the time by painters
and this depends on the paint system being used

Now, having said that, you will have to match the paint you are going to use to the trunk lid.
That is the only way you will be able to guarantee a perfect match with the spoiler.
If you use a spray bomb, I  guess you will have a very slim chance of the paint matching.
If you are doing this job yourself, you will have to live with the color being a bit off. Optionally, get a body shop to do it.

Hope this helps
Dan
