Auto body repair & detailing/Tail lights

Question
I have a 1999 Buick park avenue ultra.  I need to buy a replacement part but I'm not sure what the name of the part is.  It's not the tail light, but rather the long piece that takes up about the middle 2/3 of the rear with the turn indicator lights, back up lights, and the license plate.  This is all one, long piece.  I have a cracked lens on one of the lights and water gets in between the two layers of plastic.  I was thinking of getting one at a salvage yard, but like I said, don't know what the part is called.  Can you help?

Thank you,
Nancy

Answer
Hello Nancy
Well, yes I can help you. The piece you are looking for is called a 'back-up light assembly.'
This is the combination panel that attaches to the trunk lid, and includes the license plate surround. I don't know exactly where you are from, but, a new piece up here in Canada costs 847.75. Used parts are usually about half of the OEM price. So, good luck.
Hope this helps.
