Auto body repair & detailing/Insurance claims

Question
I am trying to start up a body shop, I have all the tools and equipment but I'm not sure how insurance claims work. If a client brings a car to me how would I go about processing their claim to their insurance company to receive payment for repairing their car. Is that something the client deals with or is that something I as the owner of the repair facility would take care of.  thank you

Answer
Hello Travis

It is your job to process the claims. Each insurance company has different rules and requirements. Follow this sort of format: Get claim in hand, contact insurance company with claim number and they will most probably have you email pictures and an estimate. They may send out an estimator to your location if the dollar value exceeds a certain number. Hope this helps and good luck with the shop.
