Auto body repair & detailing/Slight Repair !

Question
Greetings !
Hoping all is well.  Recently I was in an auto accident and my vehicle was luckily repaired.  Unfortunately, there was a bit of a crack in the plastic area around the radio/CD player and I used the proper glue to have it fixed.  The problem is though that this glue has left a noticeable 'glossy shine' which does not appear to blend very well-------what can I use to smooth over and/or remove the glossy sheen left by this glue ?
Thanks !

Answer
Hi Frank!...What I suggest, is to go down to your local autobody/parts supply store, and pick up a grey colored " Scotchbrite " sanding pad.....With this, you can lightly scuff the affected area...It is generally used to take the sheen off of clearcoat, before re-clearing, so it should give you the desired result....If you are not satisfied with the result, I would then suggest you to see if you can get a can of interior paint mixed up...Most autobody/parts supply stores can put this into a spray can....If you end up going this route, take the same " Scotchbrite ", and scuff the surrounding area....Mask off as needed, and lightly " Dust " in the affected area.....Another option, is to check with your local Auto/Interior repair shop...Hope this helps...Please write back if you have any more concerns...Thanks.......Dave
