Auto body repair & detailing/Touch-up paint code

Question
Hi Dave,
My question is again in regards to my 2002 PT Cruiser and my replacement door. The door has a few small chips and scratches in the paint. I would like to get some touch-up paint (I'll sand and prime the spots first). I know the paint is called "Inferno Red". Would you have any idea what the paint code might be, or how I could get it?

Thanks,
Andre

Answer
Hi again Andre!....I just called one of our painters, at the Chrysler Dealership that I work at, and was told the paint code for " Inferno Red " is "EL"....Every Chrysler paint code has a prefix of " P "...So the code will read " PEL "..This color is used between 2001-2004....You can check it against the sticker on the drivers door jamb....It will be listed there, as well as the MDH...Month, Day, and Hour, that the vehicle was actually produced....Hope this helps as well...Thanks...Dave
