Question
Hi, I will be painting my pickup truck with acrylic enemal paint my question is do I have to sand new paint after it dries before applying clearcoat?

Answer
Hi Abraam,

It all depends on how soon after that you plan to apply the clearcoat. Usually most brands of Acrylic Enamels have an open time of about a week. That can vary with temp, humidity, air flow, and even activator strength. My suggestion is check with the paint manufacturer and follow their guidelines for re-coating or clear-coating.
