Question
How do I adjust the tension on the rods for my 67 Mustang coupes trunk lid? It was replaced, and now the lid will not stay in the open position. Both rods are currently in the slots nearest the rear seats

Answer
Use a deep well 10mm or 11mm socket (3/8 drive is best)with a long extension and move the torsion bar to the next slot. A length of 3/8 pipe will work too.
I have not worked on one of these cars in a while so it might just be a little trial and error. Be very careful, those springs will bite.
