I ran into my buddy's rear bumper. It made a minor dent. Is there any way to repair his bumper, and how much does that cost?. The truck is a 99 silverado.

If you remove the bumper you can use a block of wood and a big hammer to smooth out minor damage.If this is not satisfactory you will have to replace the bumper which is available in pieces,it sounds like you just need the chrome part and this is something you can do in a couple of hours.Don`t buy a cheap aftermarket part though because it will rust in a matter of months.Buy from a G.M. dealer and it should only set you back about $200.
