Auto body repair & detailing/Fender repair on a 2002 S-10

Question
My wife swung our truck into the pole on our carport this morning, punching a dent into the front left side fender of the wheel well, above where the tire is. I can send a picture if it is more helpful. I am wondering if this is something I can fix myself and if so, how? And do I run any risk of it geting worse if I don't do anything? I live in AZ so I don't have to worry about salt or anything like that. Thanks!

Answer
You could repair it your self by grinding the dent then tapping it out some and then filling the dent with bondo to fill any of the dent that is left after tapping it out. then prime area and refinish. or you could just touch it up with some touch up paint available at a Napa type store. or yes I suppose you could just leave it and it wouldn't get much worse with no salt.
             Thank you for the question!
