This is my first big project so i want to get it right the first time.

Answer
Yearone.com , the restoration parts company, has a book called how to repair and restore bodywork in their literature section. There may even be a book on fiberglass repair, or corvette restoration. I can't teach you how to restore a dune buggy in an e-mail, but let me congratulate you on your wisdom in obtaining information before starting a major project. most are a--hole deep by the time they e-mail me.
