We installed new door skins on my resto 72 Nova. Since the door hinges are welded on we need to weld coat hangers on the edge of the door. Is this the best way to make the gap even?

Answer
Before you welded the skins on, you should have hung the doors to fit them. If the skins are already permanently fixed, weld the edge. I personably would loosen the skins and move them to fit. Are the fenders on? You can also take a mall and a block of wood, knock the hinges back a little.
