Auto body repair & detailing/Mildew smell

Question
Hi, I have a 1999 Red Pontiac Grand Am and it was recently flooded out by Hurricane Ernesto.  I managed to get the engine started but now I have a major problem with the smell of mildew on the inside.  I sprayed 2 bottles of frebreeze on the carpets and seats but its like i sprayed nothing at all.  I blew heat on the floors (to dry them) and still smell mildew.  I also tried to let them air dry but still mildew.  I have 2 children who are passangers in this vehicle (3 yrs old, and 3 mos old) and this HAS to be a hazard for them.  Any suggestions on what i can do to remove the smell?  I'm stumped!

Answer
I have a lot of sympathy for you and I'll do whatever I can to help you solve your predicament.  First off, is the car dry??  If you push down with your knee on the floor, does it get wet from water down deep?  Your first job is to get it completely dry.
