Auto body repair & detailing/Painting door mirrors

Question
I recently bought on Ebay some folding, body colored door mirrors for my 2003 Mustang to replace the black textured plastic non-folding ones that came with the car. Problem is, my car is Dark Shadow Grey while the new folding mirrors are Competition Orange (BC/CC I would assume). Have bought a small quantity of grey PPG paint of the correct code and would like to make my first attempt at painting using paint guns. Can you provide tips & techniques on prepping and re-painting these mirrors? Thanks a bunch!

Answer
Use a grey scuff pad to thoroughly scuff the original finish, especially the edges.Mask the glass and wiring and you are ready to spray.Hang them from a metal coat hanger so you don`t have to handle them while painting.Take your time and they should turn out fine.
