Question We had an object fall and gauge the front right plastic bumper on our 2005 Honda Odyssey (Slate Green Metallic). The gauge is about 1/4" wide X 1" long X 1/4" deep. It is located just above the fog light. What type of filler should I use to repair this gauge or do you have a better suggestion for the repair?
Answer 3M makes a good line of repair adhesives for plastic repair. You must grind the area first then use the solvent cleaner then the adhesion promoter. Then fill the gouge with 3M plastic cosmetic repair putty and let dry for 8 hours. Sand smooth and prime area. After primer is dry sand area with 400 grit sand paper and then a 3M scuff pad. you are now ready to do a paint and clear blend in the area.
Thank you for the question !
