Auto body repair & detailing/Repair of rear quarter panel

Question
knocked a piece (pie plate size) out of rear quarter panel on 2001 Silverado Sportside. The piece is plastic (PVC?) could it be glued back in and if so what glue? (would require touch up painting at least).

Answer
Arthur, this panel needs replaced. It requires special adhesive and repair procedures that will necessitate removal of the bedside. To do it properly, that is, and no matter what, putting back in a pie plate sized piece is just too much to ask. Especially for a novice. This panel is at least 800 bucks, so you need to make an insurance claim. This is easily a 1400.00 repair. Maybe you can find a new take off bed for about that price, that is the same color as your truck. Bill
