Question
I need to replace a couple of flare moldings on my '99 4Runner. When I order them, I expect that they will come to me unfinished and uncolored. Do I need to prep them in any way to paint them the correct color or can I just put on the basecoat then clearcoat? If a primer/adhesive is needed what would you reccommend? Thanks.

Answer
Fortunately most import cars sell their mouldings in color. With Toyota the seals do not come with the mouldings and sometimes they don't come with clips.Be sure to have your paint code and /or v.i.n. so the correct color can be ordered. And double check on the clips.
