Auto body repair & detailing/Roof replacement?

Question
I have a car that had a vinyl roof. I took the roof off and now the roof has multiple holes and rust. Can you section in the roof or can you use any of the por products and replace the vinyl roof. Thanks

Answer
The roof skin really needs replaced to do a quality job. If a roof is not readily available, the roof needs professionally media blasted, the pinholes need filled with either lead or a waterproof filler like Duraglass or preferably lead, and the roof needs primered. Use a metal etching primer, preferably from the same company as the paint manufacturer you intend to use. Don't use someone elses topcoat on  a different companies primer. It's a recipe for disaster.
