Question
How do you repair a scrape on a sideview mirror?  It is about 3 inches long, pretty much a surface scrape.

Answer
Hello Michelle! The easiest, cheapest option is to go to the dealership closest to you that sells your brand of vehicle, and buy a tube of touch up paint. Remember, less is better when touching up with a brush. It will look okay if it's not a high metallic light color like silver, sandrift, champagne or gold. If You want it repaired nice, and are willing to spend a few bucks, take it to a body shop. Have them give you a price on painting the mirror for you. You can try getting a rattle can of paint at Auto zone, and paint it yourself, but I  gotta tell you, rattle can touch up paint always looks shoddy. It's well worth the extra money to have it done right, if you can't live with the brushed on touch up paint. Have a great day, and thanks for the question. Bill
