driver side fender needs to be replaced in my 99 Ford Taurus. how much would it cost? is it difficult to do it myself?

Are you sure the fender needs to be replaced?It might be cheaper to have it repaired.You also have to consider things like color match in which adjoining panels need to be blended for a good match.Also if you want a quality job the trim needs to be removed so there is no adhesion problems.As far as doing it yourself, a Taurus fender is somewhat complicated to change and requires a little more patience than other types of cars.A rough idea of cost for replacement and painting should be about $1000 to $1500
