Question
I own a 2006 Honda Ridgeline. The black bed is in good condition, but it is dulled and a bit stained. The tail gate is still nice and shiny, and I would like to get this fiberglass bed back to looking like the tail gate. Any recommendations?

Answer
Depending on the severety of the fading, try a cutting/rubbing compound. 3M has a quality line of products. First, try it in an inconspicuous place to check for it's effect. Cutting/rubbing coumpounds should be only applied by hand. This way you can control effectiveness as you go. After this step, you can use a finishing compound. Good news is that these are generally applied with a power polisher/buffer. Be careful on body lines and edges as the paint is thinner on these areas. Finally, finish up with a glazing compound. This should also be applied with a power polisher/buffer. Another option is to get it done professionally. Check out your local auto detailer. Hope this helps.
