I have a 1968 chevy truck..I am getting it ready to paint..My question Is,,On the rain gutter it has some kind of collcking I want to clean that all out and redo it..what kind of collcking do i use..also it has rust..what do i do about the rust??

Clean it out with a wire wheel or scrape it sandblast it. Prime it good, use a good automotive urethane caulk or even household latex caulk will do. It isn't recommended by the paint co. because it is cheap. I have been using it for years with zero problems.
