Hello, I have a 92 VW Jetta and the left rear door will not open. I have power locks and they seem to open and close, at least the button goes up and down. I have removed the door panel and I can not find a way to open the door. I was going to take a saw and cut off the handle and open the door and then get a replacement handle. Can you please offer a suggestion?

Ted does the out side handle feel like it broken off the latch? has the car been in a wreck or is the door just not opening? sometimes the child safety lever gets pushed up and wont let the handle open from the inside,try unhooking the lock rod from the inside,then push the lever down on the inside latch where the door handle rod comes through,make sure its the one from the outside b/c the inside will not work if the child lock is on.
