I was just recently involved in my first accident.  I was rear-ended while stopped at a light.  All in all it could have been worse.  The other van was totaled and my 2004 Suburban which I had for 4 days has rear-end damage.  My bumper is bent down and pretty badly damaged.  The bumper pushed in the back quarter panel.  The rear cargo door is pushed in, dented, and scraped up.  The cargo window also doesn't tight all the way anymore.

The other drivers insurance company has accepted liability and has offered to take care of the repairs.  I'm going to give them a shot at taking care of it.  I was wondering what I should watch out for and what would be reasonable to expect in how the repairs are made and the amount of time to do them?

Mike the way it works is you take it where you want to and they pay for it by law they cant tell you where to take it its up to you so do some checking where you live go look at some body shops ask to see the shop look at some of there work and there staff and see that they are icar certified and make sure they have a frame machine and the shop is able to handle your repairs and that they warranty there work and also make sure they use factory parts and not aftermarket.
