Auto body repair & detailing/fender replacement

Question
2000 Buick Regal  passenger side fender needs replacing. Can I do this myself? I am somewhat mechanically inclined, but not much experience in auto body repair. Can you give me a short description on how to replace it? Thank You Bill

Answer
This car is too new to learn auto body repair on. If you don't blend the door, it will stick out like a sore thumb. They are actually a pain to remove, especially without damaging the paint on the hood and door. The hinge is welded to the fender, so the hood must be unbolted and supported. The headlamp needs removed, the front bumper may need at least partially removed, and the fender liner needs removed. Bill
