Question
hi mark!

i understand its difficult to answer an estimate question without a photo, but i'll try anyway. i was parked in a parking lot, went to the movies, returned to see my driver side rear door was hit. there is paint from the car that looks like it can come off, but the dent is about 6 inches long on the door opening on the bottom. a little of my paint chipped off but BARELY. its really the dent that im concerned with, and i'm thinking they are going to have to replace that door. is there any kind of estimate you can give me for a 2006 civic lx driver side door? all help is appreciated, thanks!

J

Answer

Sorry about the bad luck. The damage could be as little as 600-800 or as much as 1400-1600. It's just too hard for me without being able to see the vehicle. There are so many different factors to consider that may make it more or less. Notify your insurance company and choose a good shop and let do their thing. With a police report you should be able to claim it under the comprehensive portion of the policy which has a less significant deductible than collision. Good Luck- Mark
