Question
hi,i have a mitsubishi galant 2000
i had a hit and run incident. it affected the part between the   back bumper and the wheel bay, it unfortunately affected the body line which became twisted a little bit upwards as an inverted C (looking downwards)the upper border of the dent is kind of acute. it also had a shallow dent below. i tired one of the commercial dent removal tools but it did not work. it would be very kind of you if you give a advice of how to hammer the border of the dent so that to straighten the body line and replace the dent back
thank you and have a good day. it would be a plus if you have pics or links to video's

Answer
If you can not get behind the damage to push or knock out the dent, you will need a dent puller of some sort. I use a stud gun that welds little studs to the low areas to pulled with special pulling tool. After you get it close, you fill it with a plastic filler or lead, finish sand, prime and paint.
There are people out there that go around to dealerships that offer paintless dent repair, I do not have a lot of faith in that kind of repair as it usually cracks the paint in the process leading to rust.
