Auto body repair & detailing/paint job

Question
Hey bud -  I'm getting ready to find a shop to paint my car.  I'm working on a full restoration of a Nash Metropolitan.  I'm going to strip the entire car down to body and chassis and get it painted.  Is there anything I should know about paint quality, brands, mixtures.. do you know what kind of price I should be looking for?  This is my first restoration and I don't want to get burned.  I'm going to paint the car two-tone, the top half a deep candy emerald green with flake, and the bottom and roof white.  Should I go for super high quality paint or can i skimp a little if I have them use good clear coat?  I don't know much about painting.  Any  and all information you can give me would be awesome.

Thanks a million!

Dave

Answer
Dave most paint jobs are determined by the prep work, just make sure to spend a lot of time getting the car smooth first so it will have a nice place for the paint to adhere to.if you have some one just spray the car look to spend at least $2000 for a good job just make sure not to pay in till the cars done,i would ask the shop for some references from some other customers so you can see the quality of there work ask to see there paint line then look it up and see what it is .
