i need to fix dents and scratches on my grand cheoroke how do i fix them and what kind of paint do i need to repaint and what about clear coat?

Karla, what sort of tools do you have at your disposal? Do you have a decent sized air compressor, a garage to do this in, any sort of painting experience? Fixing and painting your Cherokee isn't like painting your living room, it takes special tools and skills. i can't really teach you everything you need to know in an e-mail. If you have 0 background, please, consult a professional in a body shop. Year one has a book in their literature section called "How to repair and restore bodywork". Before tearing into the Cherokee, I highly suggest you research this subject further. My apologies if you have repair experience, but everything you ask just seems to say you don't have any idea what you are in for. I'm always glad to help folks with problems, but I don't provide tutorials for people who want to learn to paint for the first time. It's just too involved, too much can go wrong, and novices never have the proper equipment. That is where a good instruction manual comes in. If you get stuck on a particular problem, need a tip, don't understand some lingo, or want a suggestion for paint brands, I'll be here. Bill
