Auto body repair & detailing/paint scuffed by leather

Question
While on a long trip on my Harley Road Glide, my leather luggage rubbed against the paint finish.  Now there is a dull film over the paint.
What's the best way to get the shiny finish back?

Answer
What is did was burn the clearcoat on the bike. All you have to do is wet sand with 2000 grit so the spot is evenly sanded and then use a buffer with rubbing compound and restote the shine. make sure to use plenty of compound and do not let it get dry on you. Which meands don't buff untill the compound is gone, only until you can notice that it is shinny again. Then wipe off excess and polish
