Question
I want to paint over the factory paint job on my 2002 f-250 truck. It has too many bad places to try to spot paint.I was told the Z1 paint is baked on.Do I have to strip down to the metal to repaint or can I scuff the clear coat to repaint?

Answer
Paint over factory baked on paint is a very good option. Repair the bad spots, prime and seal, and scuff the rest very good. I would 1000 grit. Spot paint the repaired eras and clear the rest. Striping the paint is only recommended if you have to much build up.
