ANSWER: Erik-

I would say 40% for remove and then reinstall parts-moldings handles trim etc.+
Strip and remove old paint prep & prime mask etc. 40%
20% for refinish clear and polish

QUESTION: If I supply the paint for a three coat job,is 5 to 7 hundred about wright to spray car.  thanks

There are too many possibilities regarding the condition of the car. I couldn't give a fair price without being able to see it first. 5-7 hundred is probably fair but remember the condition is important to the result. Good  luck- Mark

QUESTION: Mark,
 I have restored 63 sprite,70 2000 roadster,72 240z,65 fj45 pickup from bare frame,peace by peace"never again"and painted it.
But this is most money i ever put in car and know I'm knot good enough to spray the finish paint with no runs,unless i did it in sections,hood fender,door quarter,trunk rear quarter,door fender,what do you think. will get pics

Unless you have a lot of experience and a good downdraft booth in which to spray the car- base clear can be tricky to get a good result. It may be worth the cash to have someone else take the responsibility for it. If you really have that much money and time into it then definately pay a pro. Mark
