Question
We received a large door ding in our new car recently.  I'd like to try and massage it out before calling in the PDR people.  Not sure where the screws holding the panel on are located.  I don't want to break trim pieces fo rnothing!  Thanks

Answer
First, lower the window as far as possible. Remove all visible screws. Next check the inside door handle. Usually there is screw covered with a cover plate.Next check the grab handle. The same applies. Some door panels have courtesy lights and speakers. They may also have a hidden screw. Once you feel you have removed all of the screws, lift up on the door panel. A lot of newer vehicles these days have integrated hooks on the door panel. If it does not move, Gently pry the bottom of the door panel away from the door and check for plastic door panel clips. if this is the case, gently pry the door panel away from the door. Most of this type of clip will pop out of its reciever. These are usually reusable. Next, remove any electrical connection.Hope this helps!
