Question
I have a rust hole 3/8" along the front windshield of my 86 toyota 4X4. There are groves where the window meets the body that is rusted. I have very little exp with auto body but this is my first project. Can I grind out the rust and mold the groves with bondo? I dont know anything about welding.

Answer
Yes, that will work, but it will be a temporary repair at best. It will need redone every 1-2 years. For best results, remove the windshield, and use a waterproof body filler. Carefully read the filler can label, not all fillers are waterproof. Hope this helps. Bill
