Auto body repair & detailing/rust repair on laquer finish

Question
i need to touch up and repair rusty sections on a BMW that has a clear laquer finish and also repair patches where the laquer finish has been lifted by water damage.

Answer
Repair in the normal manner. Sand blast rust and repair with metal patches or and body filler. Prime area with lacquer primer if available. Then refinish with lacquer paint if available. Sometimes you can find left over lacquer at car swap meets and car shows. Or you might consider using clear coat and base coat in the urethane form.
