Question
I have a scratch on the right door next to the door handle.A rock hit the car. I have tried
using the brush bottle paint you get from the
dealer, but it does not match. How do i get them to match.thanks for your help

Answer
Hello! Touch up paint is tricky at best. High metallic colors like silver and gold are nearly impossible to make look good, and sometimes make it look worse than it did before it was touched up! Even with other colors, an exact match is highly unlikely. That is why when we paint a panel, we blend into the panel next to it. A ball park match is all that can be expected from paint. About all that I can suggest is that you visit a body shop, and have them mix you some paint. IF THEY DO THIS FOR YOU, remember, body shops consider this a favor. Make sure you give them a call when you need a more extensive repair. Bill
