Question
I have a 1997 Suburban and need to replace pass.side view mirror,Does the whole door panel need to be removed to access the mirror or can I remove small plastic cap on inside of door? If I remove small plastic cap do I need a special tool?Thank You

Answer
You can remove the plastic cover by inserting a stiff putty knife between it and the body, at the top, then forcefully prying out on it. It will let loose with a sound like the whole part is being ripped from the door, but it's just the clip. You may need to remove the door panel to access the wire clips for the power mirror, but i don't think you have to on your model of truck. Bill
