Auto body repair & detailing/swirl marks

Question
What would you reccomend for treating swirl marks on a car? Is there something that I can purchase or send my car into the shop for that will eliminate them, not just mask them? If so, how much would that range from? If not, then what is the best most economical way for me to treat the swirl marks?
Thanks

You will almost certainly have to take the car to a professional detail shop. Make sure you explain your expectations to them before you give them the car. Tell them that you want the swirl marks removed and ask them if they have the ability to do this. I have seen many a detailer polish swirls into a car and it's always a nightmare for everyone. Only the best detailer should be trusted with a black or dark colored finish. This operation is truly an art and shouldn't be trusted to anyone that isn't willing to realize your expectations. An exterior detail may range from 89.95 to 199.95. The type of polish that you may need to remove the swirls may, depending on the vehicle, range from 199.95-350.00. Good Luck. Mark
