how do i know if my tire rod ends are damaged? my wheels shak very bad when im driving at about 65 mph and when i brake.

Jack up the front of the vehicle and make sure the steering wheel is locked.With the tires in the air grab the tire on either side of the rim and try to shake it in and out as though you were turning left to right quickly, if there is slop then the tie rod ends are bad.What you describe it sounds like that is the problem.
