Question
hello  im looking for some help on how to blend new 2 pack paint with old factory finish.i have a toyota celica which needs a little paint repair to front bottom wing.the colour of paint is super white so im told. my paint spraying skills are good as iv always had an interest in it, but with this i want to get it right as the car is in very good condition other than 1/2 little bits. can you explain the best way to fade the new finish into the old. many thanks regards simon

Answer
Wet sand the whole next panel with 600 to 1000 grit paper. Paint the new area normally dusting the next panel just past the edge. Spray the clear on each panel complete.
Before you do all that, use rubbing compound on the old to bring back the color, it might just match. When you order your paint, give them your VIN, the mixer can usually tell what formula to use if the the car is new enough.
