I keep seeing products like por-15 and rust bullett, used on frames and pans. Are these products worth the cost and do they work?

I really don't know if they work or not. I have heard good things about these products for use on snow plows ect. If I were to go through all the trouble tearing down a car to make real nice, I would sand blast and use a good etch primer. If you are just trying to make a decent vehicle last for a few more years cheap, yes, go ahead and use those products. Nothing beats good clean metal to work with.
