Question
I have an opportunity for a position drafting Boilers and their associated piping...I will be going from 2000 Lt to 2008.  There is a drafting test and I'm concerned, isn't most piping drawn in 3D and the recruiter said do not worry about setting up shortcuts just do the drawing.  If it is in 2D is there a lot of difference in the typed commands to achieve the end product?

Answer
Elaine,

Not all piping are done in 3D. The majority are still in 2D world since all the drawings are done in layouts. 3D is used for quick interferance checks, Bill of Mat'ls, calcs, renderings, etc. and are not usually done in AutoCAD. The end product will mostlikely include the basic command u already use. The commands used should stay same.

Hope this helps & good luck!
