AutoCAD/Command Line Issues

Question
A colleague is having trouble with the command line settings in AutoCAD 2004Lt.

The issue is - using keyboard input for a command, for example extend. The normal process they would use is to activate the command and then press return twice on the command line but currently it will only accept the first return input and then they have to click back into the viewing pane using the mouse in order to progress with the command.

I'm having trouble with this one, please help?

Regards,

James Macdonald.

Answer
Sorry -- I thought I had sent a reply asking for more info.

I think you mean keyboard shortcuts (command aliases) -- or are you typing all 5 letters in EXTEND??

The normal process for EXTEND and TRIM is to press enter twice -- ONLY if you want to make everything in the drawaing a boundary/cutting edge.

Somewhere in OPTIONS on that old release, are some checkboxes about mouse input and so on. Maybe someone changed something, or, as with often happens, Voodoo changed it. I would go there and review them all, and try changing a few back and forth, or compare his settings with yours.

Write back if that is not it, with more facts, and I will try to see what I can look up for you.
