AutoCAD/autocad 2007 attribute text problem

Question
Im having a problem with a drawing that I did a few weeks ago.  The drawing is a floorplan with multiple blocks and each block has around 3 attributes. When I originally made the drawing everything looked perfectly fine, but when I now open it up to make some changes, all my attributes display as just a square instead of text.  This is only a problem with this particular drawing and Im wondering if the file got corrupted somehow.  The question I have is whether you have seen anything like this before and if so is there an easy way to fix it short of redoing the entire drawing.  Thanks,
Adam

Answer
QTEXT is a command that turns on and off the display of text and attributes.  When QTEXT is ON (QTEXTMODE set to 1), all the text and attributes turn into rectangles and squares.  Turn QTEXT off (QTEXTMODE set to 0), and REGEN, and all the text and attributes will display again.  It was originally designed for slow systems to speed up regeneration of the drawing.

Let me know how it goes.

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
