AutoCAD/AutoCAD 2008LT 3D
Expert: Paul Jordan - 10/21/2008
QuestionI'm a AutoCAD student at Sacramento City College. I'm using 2008LT at home with !Slingshot 3D program. What is happening is sometimes when I do a 3D project some of the parts, usually walls or extruded item, they don't show up when I'm working on the colleges' computers that are running AutoCAD 2008 full software. If I rebuild the part there, I come and have 2 parts instead of 1.
I've enabled the 'Check Web for Live Enablers' box in the Systems tab in the options box in both systems, but I can't download any programs to help on the college's computers.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I would appreciate any help you can give me.
AnswerJust out of curiousity, why not use the student version of Autocad? That way you don't have to use a 3rd party program. Autocad LT wasn't designed to do 3D drawings and I haven't seen a 3rd party program that makes it work like Autocad.
I'd have to say you need to contact Slingshot's tech support folks on this one Ed. They'll know their program better than anyone else.
I can help with the Autocad side of things but, there are hundreds of 3rd party vendors out there and there's no way we'd be able to keep up with even a few of them.
Good luck!
