QUESTION: Sorry, I guess the two parts of my question went to two different people!... This was the original question:
Good day.... i am using autocad 2002, and have some how lost my right click functions. I had it set up so that my right click would bring me to a list that allowed me to move, copy, rotate, erase.... pretty much all the important stuff. Now I cant do anything! The menu that I get only has windows version copy, undo and zoom. it's very hard to work this way.... i have to type every Command in! My CAD Support guys think im smoking something because they have never heard of it being that way before. I cant even use the delete key on the keyboard. I have tried all the SHORTCUT menu numbers 1-11.... none of them do anything that I Need. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!
At the very least I would like to use my delete key on my keyboard!
Anyhow, Thanks for your help.....
ANSWER: Brandy, i'm assuming you have a customized *.mnu file that you or someone had created? If so, reload this menu thru 'menuload' command. Otherwise, try loading one of your available Profiles under 'Options' cmd & 'Profiles' tab. If no luck, ask in your network for the custom menu file. Otherwise, there's no way we can retrieve your previous settings.
However, you can revert back to your default Autocad settings. Invoke 'menu' cmd, find acad.mnu in your local HD. This should fix your keyboard problems. Then using 'menuload' cmd, load any additional menus such as Express & ones you created.
Hope this helps...let me know!

QUESTION: No, didn't work, reloaded every menu.... key board still doesn't work properly! if i had made a custom .mnu file i sure wasn't aware of it. as far as I know its standard? I suppose not though. How would I create a new one?
AnswerReloading the acad.mnu should've fixed your keyboard problem. Also, check the object layer that you're deleting that its not locked. If not, ensure 'pickfirst' variable is set to '1'.
Another way we can troubleshoot this is to have another person log in your computer, fire up Autocad in their profile & check if it renders same problem as yours. If it does, coordinate w/ your IT, you might have to reinstall Autocad or having hardware/driver issues. If it doesn't, then you could copy just copy & override your corrupted files.
Creating custom mnu in 2002 & below could be a little frustrating if you haven't program in lisp or script before. Here's a glimpse on how it's done:
