Question
Bob, I am trying to attach / insert AutoCAD drawings into a word document report. I am a beginner in the use of AutoCAD and will appreciate your advise on how to achieve the best result for my report. I am using AutoCAD 2008.

Answer
Hi --- I am in Canada today, no AutoCAD on this computer,so a brief reply--

You are making the error of assuming that program A will recognize program B--- not necessarily true.

You need to insert an image created by AutoCAD of your drawing -- perhaps a pdf or a jpeg. This means you need to plot to create the image -- or perhaps there is a way I am not thinking of at the moment.

Try Googling __ autocad into word __ and see what you get. Write back if still stuck and find the answer for you on Tuesday.

I am good at helping Architects and Interior Designers who are intimidated by Autocad, ADT, etc. to feel comfortable, get things done. If you are in another field, I will do what I can for you. PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTIONS TO QUESTIONER-- MOST DON'T FOLLOW THEM, AND IT MAKES IT VERY HARD TO ANSWER WELL-- THANKS
