I think I am having the same problem as another person who posted a similar question on 12/20/07.  I am trying to insert an xref from paper space to paper space for title block purposes.  The xref manager says it is loaded ok, but it does not show up on screen.  I have checked all the layer states, layer freeze/thaw settings, layer on/off settings, etc.  I am doing civil engineering work in AutoCAD Civil 3D Land Desktop Companion 2008.  I have been working with CAD for roughly 8 years, but have had no formal training.

Hi ---I am out of town, no AutoCAD here, but my best first guess:

A-- it is probably there, but very very large or very small --- you did not say whether you did the MOST important thing to check: double cliok the wheel (zoom extents).  This is the typical "untrained user error".

B-- I would store the title block in Model Space on a host drawing (one saved someplace just for this, not xreffing from an old job) and xref from there.

C-- you are playing dangerously to be doing Land Desktop with no training --- I hope you have a good book.
