Question
Sir,
I received an AutoCad drawing for modifications. Drawing is not showing in Model Tab, but it is not showing in Layout Tab. Could you please advice me how to I get on Model tab this drawing for editing.
Regards
Rao

Rao: Go to my website:

Find my email icon and click on it and send me the drawing.  That's the only way I'm going to be able to troubleshoot this problem.  That was my first impression, but then I thought of this:

You said it doesn't show in model tab and it also doesn't show in Layout.  I think it does actually show in Layout, right?  If so, one thing you can try is _VPMAX to edit the drawing in Model Space and _VPMIN to go back to Layout.  LOCK THE VIEWPORT FIRST.  You can do that with _MVIEW or with _PROPERTIES.

If that doesn't work for you, send me the drawing.

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
